This is almost exactly reflective of our experience here in Australia, too. The midwifery service was genuinely amazing and our midwife also positioned childbirth as a natural thing, not a "medical event" (by default anyway).

I didn’t appear so, at least from my interpretation. As I read it, the comment implied Microsoft had something to do with cleaning it up and/or that work started post-acquisition. Neither of which reflects the reality.

Those changes started happening years before Microsoft and have nothing to do with the acquisition.

I’m clearly not Eric, but you’ve only addressed the investor side here. Looks to me LTSE is trying to create a forcing function, primarily through governance, for companies to think and act long-term.

Why is it difficult? Is there not enough context given the conversation is specifically focused on video conference software. One could say the same of Zoom... There's Zoom Meetings Client, Zoom Rooms, a desktop app, mobile app, Outloo

This reminds of the Internet, particularly pre-social media, when it was interesting and people had personal sites and weird projects.

From the article, “ Honda has done what no other car maker is doing”. False, Mazda started this with the Mazda 3 in 2019 ( https://www.motorauthority.com/news/1121372_why-mazda-is-pur... ).

I designed my floor plan of my home from scratch using Sweet Home 3D without any experience with either designing homes or using software like this. Such a wonderful piece of software.

Can anyone weigh in on why they could not just move these subscriptions to a non-US Adobe entity and continue to transact accordingly?

You're right—in the past they could. But App Store economics and subscription services have reset expectations on pricing and have forced downward pressure on upfront pricing. So now even if a company (possibly like Shifty Jelly) wante

+1 on this. Something easier to read, and—to match the posts description—elegant would make this a much more attractive theme. Not that it's hard to swap it out for anyone who likes the theme otherwise, but worth considering changing s

This is the only link I’m always happy to see resurface when posted here on HN. Every single time (maybe this is the 5-10th time?) I end up watching mesmerised for 50 movements or more.

Yet another vote for Spectacle. I also pair this with Cinch[1] as I regularly switch between inputs and setups (KB & Mouse at the desk, neither on the go) and like to have flexibility with both keyboard and mouse/trackpad control.

I have somewhere between 5–20% comprehension of what they're talking about in a technical sense but found the conversation from 4m31s (as you've linked) to ~10m45s utterly fascinating.

Just had the same thought, came back to the comments and here we are. I couldn’t agree more. Surely the convention—generally—is to indeed use these for before/after comparisons? Especially if you set a precedent by doing so correctly a
