The system in the US is different. You can get credits in various topics despite being enrolled in, say, Physics. In Germany, you're enrolled in one subject and have mostly predefined classes for that subject until you have something l

With text/tweets, you can process the text and what it is about at a glance. With video, you have thumbnails and they usually give you a good idea what to expect from that video. With audio, there's nothing. I think people are not

I can recommend Impact.js. It's a commercial engine for 99$ but so far, I enjoyed working with it. It's canvas-based and optimized for tile-based 2D-games, but you can do other 2D-games as well with it. It comes with a nice level

On paper maybe, but in reality, most cars still consume between 5-10 liters per 100km and more, if you have the horse power.

Questions, I couldn't find an answer to: How do you make sure that the water doesn't merely distribute your feces all over your butt? How do women prevent that feces get sprayed onto or even into their vagina, since the water seem

A few weeks ago, I searched for an email newsletter service that was based in Europe, preferably in Germany. I landed on a couple US-based sites and since then, I was retargeted by their ads all the time. But them being located in the State

I agree. Going to college is not only about getting a degree. It's about learning what you want from life, learning social skills, going abroad for a year, work on different projects, try things out. Consider it as a time to sharpen an

If enough people do it, reading time will go down and bounce rate will go up. If that happens, someone might notice and decide to change something. I think there's no other way than that to tell them that their approach sucks.

Yeah, actually, I don't read articles anymore that do shit like that. Also: If I end up on a website that has some sort of popup (like us on FB, sign up here), I instant-close it. I don't care how good the content is. If they anno

I think it's great and fun but too easy. There should be levels that require more nesting or specifying elements within another group and there should be more "control groups" that should NOT be matched (like in regex golf).

I love Stripe, I love the continuous improvements, but since Stripe also accepts different currencies, I'm still waiting for a way to localize all that standard stuff Stripe comes with, e. g. "Stripe checkout". Can't use

What? You would be okay with that? And after 6 months, you find that their coffee doesn't taste that well anymore and you crave different coffee. What do you do with your coffee maker then? Dump it?

The concept is interesting. However, I don't think that the concept of "use now, pay later" is really what prevents people from doing micro transactions. The real work is to convince content providers to hide their stuff behi

Scroll all the way down in the comments here, that joke has been told before and downvoted for its unrelatedness. This app is based on the symptothermal method, not the rhythm method.

The pill is exactly the same. "Lower hormones" is just marketing fluff. All hormonal birth control methods work with more or less the same principle (suppress ovulation, make cervical mucus less fluid and thus reduce survivability

Your argument lacks on two levels: 1. The same logic must be applied to condoms. They have a failure rate of 0.6 - 12% per year, depending on the study. 2. You mix perfect-use with imperfect-use. Even sterilization doesn't have a 0% fa
