In my experience, it is easier to advocate outwardly for yourself than it is to look inward and evaluate what you actually need from yourself in order to be happy. In that sense, I meant introspection. I feel like the more able I am to unde

It's ok to be accommodating as long as you have learned to be introspective. We all have demands of our own time and money. Introspective accommodating people are able to help others in a generous way while protecting the time and reso

It's a great book but his Learning Processing: A Beginners Guide to Programming Images, Animation, and Interaction (2nd Ed) is a better introductory book.

I do a lot of Python work and like most of the other "heavy" IDEs, this doesn't appeal to me at all. The more layers of stuff you wrap around what you're trying to do, the harder it is, in my experience, to make it easy

I generally use the Firefox SQLite Manager extension when I need to explore SQLite databases. It serves its purpose pretty well, though it has some annoyances and UI quirks. https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/

It's not perfect, but no MBP has ever been perfect. One thing about the Touch Bar annoys me from time to time. Otherwise, I love the computer and I'm both happy and feel thankful for having one. It is clear that other people don&#

I have a mostly maxed-out 15" new MBP. I love it. Now that I'm used to the new keyboard, I can type much faster than with the older ones and it feels far less mushy. I never have problems with stuck keys, audio, etc. From time to

Children under age 1 are easy. From ~1 to ~4, they consume A LOT of your free time. For me, that was the hardest period to find time to continue to learn and to work on personal projects. From a mental health standpoint, it helped me to &qu

Letting go of the notion that you aren't a developer. You are a developer, you're just self-taught. There's not a "right" language or project. Pick something that inspires you, pick a language you want to learn, and

To me, an MBA is more about business strategy. Knowing the relevance of data to the operations of a business is vital to being an effective data scientist. Knowing when to make the call to lay off 500 people is the job of somebody with an M

This is missing an important component of the process. If you don't want to have to reinvent the wheel every time you are asked to do a certain type of analysis, you also have to set up some infrastructure to support your analytic pipe

It depends a little bit on the age of the children. One important thing to consider is that the sooner they can see visuals that are produced by their code, the more they will be able to understand the cause/effect of programming. I&#x
