All the infos about cars are easily available. It chances nothing, most buyers of car simply dont care enough to get fundamental knowledge about cars. If you would value the time it takes for an average car buyer to get fundamental knowledg

But you are wrong, it would absolutely not work. The only way to make sure no one has 51% and no one can simply get 51% (buy cloud computing for example) is if the 51% is more than what feasibly can be bought or it would at least need to co

No, not at all there was no argument. Bitcoin isn't fiat. Thats a fact not an argument. You specifically asked why, so I gave you the reason. Words have meanings. We use fiat currency as a term specifically to exclude cryptos and other

There is no need to decide you start watching the money starts streaming you stop the money stops. If you only watched a few seconds its only fractions of a cent it doesn't matter. If at all it makes people less likely to watch crap an

The classic is "backed by statistics" so both sides pick the statistics that confirms their opinion. Last seen just these days in US media about guns/gun crime/shootings etc. etc. There are so many statistics which all d

If you like it technically I suggest reading the official documentation about the consensus mechanism. Yes, all of them where run by Ripple to provide geographical decentralization. This is purely to achieve a high uptime and ofc demonstrat

Opinions backed by facts would be fine. If someone explains why he has the opinion he has then I can agree/disagree/provide a better reasoning for another opinion etc. But most of the opinions voiced are either not backed by anyth

Well everyone can see how many people are running the network so if the number would drop someone who uses it would probably think twice if they should stop as well ryt? Unless all decided to shutdown at the same time but that's kinda

Its not bad on its own, but paying the running cost of the network with inflation means the people who hold a token pay for it (indirectly trough inflation loses) not the people who use the network. Staking however does not make sense if th

Footnotes #2 is rather unlikely. First PoS is not the successor of PoW. Its the same idea all over again. People are rewarded for wasting capital opportunity instead of energy. It only makes sense for them if they get enough return on the c

Kinda funny as we know the free-market eventually will switch to a non-PoW solution. There is no way around it.

Sorry but that's BS, It absolutely requires the energy. If it would be running on a privet computer still then anyone with such a computer could double spend which would make it useless regardless of success.

PoW doesn't even lead to good distribution as we can see since a few years and more importantly its not needed. We have Federated Byzantine Agreement (FBA) "blockchians" since like 8 years and it beats PoW by any metric.
