I just wish the included adapter had a longer cable. The 6-ish feet is just long enough to get you off of a wall, but not quite long enough to move away comfortably. I assume that it's due to the spec though.

One thing I think a lot of people don't realize is that the more specific a law is, the more it becomes like a zero-tolerance policy. Allowing for ambiguity, as you said, allows for the law to be enforced with context. A contrived exam

How do you measure complexity with an objective number? I have a few ideas for what could go into it for a given task or process (number of branching paths, number of methods called, LOC, time to develop, etc.) but how do you assign weights

I fail to see how this relates more to a person's individual personality than programming habits or attitude. It's not unreasonable to see two programmers of different skill levels producing the same code simply because they'

The problem lies in when you try to blindly apply these assumptions without anything to back it up. This is true of anything in life. I get that we sometimes have gut feelings that we can't explain. We have to be honest with ourselves

Then I think we would need to cross that bridge when we got there. As someone else said, people are losing non-trivial amounts of money to scams that are disguised as investments. You don't want ads for these scams when ad money is you

Java Puzzlers[0] has a few entries similar to this. Some of the entries are things that would trip you up (but logically makes sense) rather than oddities, but it's an interesting read. Note that the book is from 2005 and uses Java 5.
