That looks great, thanks. One of the things that will help me re-learning is that I now have a much better understanding of how maths can help you answer questions and solve problems, rather than just working through rote exercises. I alway

Yeah, I definitely think that will help. I've had the same experience when trying to get back into running. Knowing I used to run a lot makes it a lot easier getting started all over again.

Thank you! Btw, just thought I'd hijack this moment to say how much I appreciate the moderation work you do here, it's fine art, and HN seems to get it about right most of the time, which is all we can really ask.

That looks great, thanks so much for that. The professor Leonard channel looks perfect, especially as it starts at pre-algebra. I'm not sure what that covers, that was a long time ago, but it would be good to cover that again just to e

Yeah, I'm definitely up for doing that. I don't need to go back to fractions, but I think I'd like to start from the beginning of basic algebra. I figure that even if I know the material, the practice will help before I move

As with Pavlov's comment about the memory this could be a yield thing. It may be that there are enough dies where one of the cores fails that it's worth turning them into a lower spec model as happened with the 486 SX all those ye

For me it hides the things I use all the time (media and volume controls) to make room for application specific controls that I never use. If it was more customisable I wouldn't mind it, but the apparant inability to force it to show m

I think it's the other way round. I think their standard policy is that basically everything is banned that could be seen as a political statement, so no maga hats or pride rainbows. So this was less a case of banning the poppy, as say

So glad I'm not the only one :) there was something weirdly nice about having your foot in one of those machines. Perhaps it was just the effect of going from a hot, probably somewhat uncomfortable show, to the cold metal and freedom.

This has been on my to-do list for too long. I need to do it this week. I also need to detach any accounts from using Google for signin. The next priority will be having a replica of my photo collection somewhere.

This has been the worst thing for me about suddenly working from home, the sudden loss of my daily commute and lunchtime walks that had a purpose and couldn't be skipped. It took me far too long to realise the damage this sudden reduct

I believe ITU patients often suffer from psychosis while in treatment and PTSD afterwards. Intensive medical intervention really can be incredibly traumatic for many, over and above the trauma of the illness or injury that put you in ITU.
