The median salary of someone on H1B is higher than someone not on H1B. If H1B is gone we will see a decrease in wages not an increase.

Tools that don’t control the model as well are doomed to fail due to costs.

It's a mismatch that this is on the official blog, but their implementation of Iceberg is still behind and doesn't have feature parity with the spec. https://cloud.google.com/bigquery/docs/iceberg-tables#

>Use your brains. I love posts like these because it just reinforces that I made the right decision in spending as much time as I do in getting really really really good at using llms.

Because people are overprompting and creating crazy elaborate harnesses. My prompts are maybe 1 - 2 sentences. There is a definite skill gap between folks who are using these tools effectively and those who do not.

Because now the model can do it for you and you can focus on other more sophisticated tasks. I am aware that there’s a huge group of people who justify their salary by being able google.

What? It’s a straight connect to the models api from azure, aws, or gcp. I am literally using Claude opus 4.1 right now.

Pretty much all the large players in healthcare (provider and payer) have model access (OpenAI, Gemini, Anthropic)

Yup which is why these models are so exciting! They are specifically training on webbrowsing and python calling.

Why does it need knowledge when it can just call tools to get it?

The same way you program... Break apart your knowledge into relevant chunks for Claude so that you can only have what's useful in its context window.

I know this is a joke but I have been able to lower my costs by routing my prompts to a smaller model to determine if I need to send it to a larger model or not.

That’s actually an old workflow. Nowadays you spin up a thin container and let it go wild. If it messes up you simply just destroy the container, undo the git history and try again. Takes no time at all.

Not really. Chatting with a llm was cutting edge for 3 years it’s only within the last 8-10 months with Claude code and Gemini cli do we have the next big change in how we interact with llms

Cursor is an old way of using LLMs. Not to mention in the study less than 1/2 have ever used it before the study.
