Steve Jobs certainly understands the competitive advantage that making both hardware and software gives Apple. If I had to distinguish between the two in Apple products I would say his passion lays more with hardware because: a) It's what y

Nuclear power is necessary to provide "bridge" energy until we can go fully green. Not exactly so. Wind or solar are dependent on it being windy or daytime, therefore will never provide base load power and can only provide incremental pow

Dropbox adds little value to my life. Unless the company or technology evolves in ways I can't foresee, I would never pay for it. Predicting it will be the most profitable company in the world sounds absurd to me. But that's just me.

I really think there is some valid anti-trust possibilities here. No. Apple has plenty of competition for the app store. First of all from the Android app store. Second, the entire internet is competition for the app store.

I've always said GIF wrong. The name Gizmodo is pretty clear to me as the hybrid of gizmo and modo, planting it firmly in the "guh" G sound. But Gizable.... not so clear!

Aren't those the same G sound? Is it G as in Guy or G like Giovanni or Giselle (similar to a J sound)?

That's just search volume data. Maybe it's peaking, or maybe people just type the domain name or have it bookmarked. Better data, such as hitwise or comscore, does show Facebook growth is leveling off. So you might be right anyway.

Right, the monthly cost is the same, so the only cost comparison consumers go through is the cost of the actual phones. When they're standing in the store staring at two phones and the iphone is $200 and the android is $50 (or free) that se

To me it seems that hardest part about predictions is the timing. It's not too hard to understand the macro economic trends and to see which way the wind is blowing, but it's very hard to know when it will happen and how quickly it will ha
