Getting it done right with a bunch of tests to rule out 1 in a million chances is a lot more expensive than getting it right without tests (and wrong 1 in a million times.)

I skipped reading the article, as I thought there was no way MI6 existed in 1916 when Rasputin died. But just to be fair I decided to Wikipedia it - and discovered it was founded in 1909 https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/

Also truly stunningly beautiful place to visit - though a bit difficult to get to. And it certainly has significantly more decent hotels than just that one. Tourism is definitely it's biggest industry.

I’m willing to accept the claim that there’s not a lot of nuance to WWII era Germany’s actions and motives, etc. ("Schindler’s List" notwithstanding.) But to claim theres no nuance to the people fighting against Germany, seems ah

The "you can't use the service" because the TOS conflicts with the laws in you locality bit isn't necessarily true - it varies a lot by country. Plenty of places just invalidate the parts of your TOS (or any other contr

I think this depends upon who you are, giant multinationals have no problem filling out the paperwork for day laborers. Some guy who want some help with his yard-work one Saturday, probably is just going to skip hiring a day laborer if he h

My personal work email flow involves clicking a lot of links. Email is quite tied to web browsing for me, so if I wanted to make sure that all of my browsing was done in a VM, and I wanted to make it convenient, I would do my emailing from

This is definitely a thing elsewhere. The amount of rudeness that I received from cab company dispatchers in Seattle is astounding. I would much prefer to deal with nearly anyone - Comcast, traffic cops, DOL - than a cab company even today
