I think the worst part, actually, is that he tried to make the excuse that it was a "joke". That comes across as disingenuous. We all know it wasn't a joke (a joke = funny). But I don't think it was meant to be literal

One of the most important lessons I've learned during the growing-up phase of my being an entrepreneur -- and one of the first things I'm doing with my next startup -- is putting together a list of "doomsday scenarios" r

I'm going to give this a serious response even though I know you're referring to a well-known cliche for startup ideas. I was talking to a fairly smart VC recently and he made a good point -- while everyone likes to use "Face

I'm surprised to hear this. Of course there's always more going on under the hood but I've had nothing but totally positive experiences using Exec Errands. Curious if anyone has some more insight into what happened. Not eno

A wonderful, cute, and inspiring love story (that you can appreciate whether you're gay or straight). Yes, I know, not Hacker or Tech related, but that doesn't matter. Read it and enjoy.

I switched from Unicorn to Puma for my relatively low-load Heroku-based Rails app and have seen nothing but improvements across the board. Less memory usage, lower response times, overall better performance. It's working very well. Not

Thank you for the lead - looks good. I found this, which goes into a bit more details for the Rails folks (like me): http://big-elephants.com/2012-12/pdf-rendering-with-phantomj... Looks very promising. Open to sugge

I hate to pile on, but perhaps the site creators are reading this and can get some constructive feedback on site improvement: At least on my iPad (Chrome), I viewed the site and simply scrolled down to the bottom. After that, I had to click

I think it depends on your market. If you're aiming for mass-market consumers (i.e. not the people who are reading this comment ;), then .com is pretty important, since many folks don't even know there are other TLDs out there.

My attitude is this: You're right. And this isn't really about what people look like now. This is about the first few steps in what I (and others, I assume) predict is going to be a fairly major change in the way people interac
