Charging for an IP until a cert is expired is free money for cloud providers. They gonna love it.

Please don't move the goal post. Writing `no database ”just works” without (...)` is gatekeeping behavior, creating an image of complexity that for most use cases - especially for those starting out - just doesn't exist.

It took me years before I started tuning the memory-related configuration of postgres for workload, schema and data, in any way. It "just works" for the first ten thousand concurrent users.

Even though alcohol is provably toxic at any age, and more harmful the younger you are, we cannot agree on the correct drinking age: 21 in the US vs 14 in Germany. Laws aren’t perfect and they have second order effects, which is why it’s im

I dread the day I must find out :) P.S.: seems like the setting still keeps the scroll bar on top of the windows content (e.g. a website), not outside of the content.

Mostly clustering and sorting, but most importantly, I use diagrams not only as a tool for communication, but also as a tool to think visually. Moving boxes around would be a huge benefit for that use case, while I still want to have the di

Based on some discussions of users that have already downloaded Tahoe, I was under the impression that this is no longer possible? Also, I think it’s not possible to have the scroll bar outside of the window instead of overlaying some conte

lol, Alnatura is the worst. I’d prefer any Netto, Späti, or even the small shops in a gas station, anytime. Alnatura is a para-religious “anthroposophical” shop and everything you buy has low quality due to adverse selection and is overpric

Yeah. Defaults should make the details of the system go out of the user's way, for >95% of the users, >95% of their time. The remaining <5% of users are power users and hackers, and the remaining <5% of usage are strong tas

Oh really… then let’s make it obvious: 1. Do they offer any kind of service? YES. 2. Is the service they offer of a digital nature? Also YES. It’s never been easier.

You don't even have to scroll. Placing two fingers on the pad makes the scrollbar appear immediately. I'm happy for each additional pixel of space on my screen, but I also think a scrollbar should be completely configurable userla

No, it's not. It's a very precise way to state that the law has to be applied to a very wide range of service providers. This is a fundamental change compared to the previous regulation TKG. Now take the loss and next time, read t

I am a Service Provider ("Diensteanbieter") according to DDG and I don't block a single page, which makes your statement not only wrong, but rather so wrong that not even the complete opposite would make any sense.

You're completely on the wrong track here. The discussion is not about who does or doesn't control the courts, it's about the question if someone who's rights have been violated can go to court or not with regard to that
