Last year I spent way too much time wiring up a janky contraption using a raspberry Pico wireless board and couple of optocouplers, so I could simulate a button press on a USB switch used as a KVM between my work notebook and personal PCs.

yeah this is also fairly common in many East and South-Asian countries. In countries like China, many people leave their children behind in the village with the grandparents, while they go work in the cities.

Are these treaties binding? I know there can be other repercussions for signatories for violating treaties. But usually there are no clear rules on what the repercussions should be. Also , since signatories are nation-states, not sure how i

Probably because the moon doesn't have property lines and nation-state borders (For now). Vacant lots down here on earth are usually privately owned or by local or national governments.

As a non API users - I also found the chat interface to be slow on the response. While it did a much better job than ChatGPT with 4 on many coding related interactions I had -Claude 3 pro for the $20/month also has a daily rate limit.

Take a look at icloudpd. I’ve been running it as a container for couple of years now and it’s been sync’ing photos down from my iphone to my NAS. https://github.com/icloud-photos-downloader/icloud_photos_do...

yeah, I've used plenty of community made tools to de-bloat windows. But that's not the point. We shouldn't have to do that. Especially when its a paid windows license, I shouldn't have to spend time dealing with Micros

No denying that windows these days isn’t stable. Indeed it is. My biggest issue is all the third party crap I never asked for gets installed with it. Not to mention all the Microsoft services that I don’t want to use, but still manage to

I'm really surprised, considering that they bought darksky. When darksky was active, it was one of most accurate weather apps I had ever used for location specific rain forecast.

Microsoft Tay . Although Tay seemed like more of a bot that was just parroting things people on twitter making it output. It seems like the current crop of LLMs are not even in the same ballpark as Tay.

I've been using commafeed for a few months now. The UI is closest thing to GReader I've seen. It's still a bit light on features compared to other more older and popular self-hosted RSS reader options. But it works well and
