I am using the AdGuard for Windows method. Everything is filtered at network level using a local proxy. I don't need to waste my time anymore worrying about which browser ruins their extension API by following Google's nonsense.

Stylus is a good alternative to Stylish. I keep my extensions to a minimum, and I turn off the ones I don't need until I need to use them. The only extensions I have turned on all the time are uBlock, Humble New Tab Page, and Stylus.

I use uBlock on desktop and laptop with Dan host files. AdGuard DNS on Android, or Firefox Mobile with uBlock extension. Even Edge on mobile has extension support now.
