Its how you bump the price up when selling to rich people, they love the talking point backstory of a toys recent history vs just buying a new one direct from a sweatshop.

For me it seemed like medium posts were always a bit too self aggrandizing vs quality content.

The same Jobs that was so pivotal to Apple that ten years after his death the share price has gone up massively since? Perhaps its time we acknowledge he wasn't such a genius and other people can market shiny trinkets just as well.

Both my windows laptops have touchscreens and the only time I use the touchscreen is when trying to clean the screen.

I've been in the industry over 20 years, and in my experience agile steers everything to be MVP in the pursuit of velocity, even on projects where they are replacing an existing platform and there is no time to market benefits to rush

Interesting comparison - I can put a load of washing on faster at home than what it takes for me to walk to the toilet and back in the office.

I've found team cohesion better than ever by just going into the office once a fortnight or so to have some after work drinks. Seems to work out better as people have a few weeks of gossip and rants to offload vs seeing everyone daily.

When I go into the office people are yelling into their mobile phones constantly and distracting me, I get bored people coming over for social chit chats, then end up wandering down for a coffee. Then there is the the 5 minute round trip ea

I've dealt with lots of code which could be fixed permanently - ie. put in proper error handling and rearchitect to be robust and maintenance free. More so than ever with the push for MVP and agile ticket stat chasing.

You specify the wsl2 ram limit in the config file. By design it will end up using all the allocated ram for caches and linux programs. If you really need to free ram for windows apps you can flush caches by running below as root echo 1 >

you can uninstall apps via adb - if not my s8 would have ended up thrown in the bin as the stupid bixby button couldn't be disabled any other way at the time.

A simple fix would be an option to surround dockerfile commands in curly braces or something and all changes inside get flattened to a single layer.

Because cargo cult. Apparently its better value to waste human time trying to debug a failed docker build with 200 commands strung together with && vs letting your runtime just mount and flatten extra layers.

The Southpark episode calling noisy Harley riders fags aired in 2009 so its nothing new. I've found the noise of vehicles was jarring after the long periods of quiet covid lockdowns.
