Apple gets incredibly high margins on their products probably leaving more play room. Is there any evidence that mobile chip makers who do not also create/own the device and are in a race to the bottom on price actually get decent retu

Keto isn't an elimination diet, it's more of a reduction diet (people choose different levels of carbs ranging from the < 10 hardcore crowd to the 30-50g crowd). You can eat a lot of veggies, certain types of fruits, meat, nut

I guess I was just saying that humans incentivize energy consumption, not capitalism. Capitalism maybe just facilitates it since that is what people want? That was my premise.

Energy is the lifeblood of humanity. We can't demonize it, the only path forward is to embrace it and find a way to utilize the near infinite energy available to us in the universe in a fashion that is environmentally safe. Also capit

I've only maybe used differentiation/integration a few times in my professional career (use it more on personal projects actually). That said, having a solid intuition about first/second order derivatives, rates of change,

Oh no I believe it and I am against those practices very much! But I feel like lawns are demonized when they don't need to be if properly done. There are a lot of benefits to lawns that are just being flat out ignored in a large part

There are so many products because people are ignorant and just want an easy fix. It's pure laziness and has nothing to do with having a healthy lawn. There's a lot of money in laziness :) A healthy lawn really doesn't requ

Pouring chemicals? Maybe a few do but I only apply one application of pre-emergent a year and then one application of fertilizer in the fall. That's not really pouring chemicals. In fact nature seems to thrive in our lawn.

AAPL might be a safe bet, but maybe not? I'm sure the company will be profitable for quite some time but stock prices are not driven by profits as you know. They are built on expectations. A lot of the expectation for Apple is built

I'm not even sure it has anything to do with that. Boring & tedious parts exist in many video games. IMO, It's that you don't need to buy millions in assets using debt to generate a profit at great risk based on many fact

I'll give you that (although that principle is so generic it isn't even actionable in practice). But if you asked the average person in the U.S. who has a portfolio (I believe it's only like 50% of Americans hold stock), I&#x

You might be surprised. In my experience many people have no idea what a stock actually is or how the market works and prices are "determined". I have run into so many folks that even have a 401(k) and don't even know they

I'm not sure about in Europe, but in the U.S. at least a substantial portion of power generation is already from renewables. That doesn't really make it free, or necessarily even cheaper depending on the circumstances.

This is a false dichotomy. One can both take data into account and go with their gut after having evaluated such data. But data, by it's very nature, is rearward looking. It is really dangerous to become a solely data driven person&
