Since this change, I haven't seen any difference in my contacts. It looks like it's still pulling all available email addresses, not just facebook.com ones.

The system will upscale it to the same physical height by doubling the pixel size of it. No monocle needed (though highly recommended for its long-lasting style).

The Mac App Store icon infers that it's a Mac app. As for languages, you're right that it isn't clear. Having said that, the main window is a text editor which performs highlighting on all of the major web languages (in Coda 1.x anyway).

Can 13MB really be considered "big" on multi-gigabyte phones? I'm all for efficiency, but I can't see this as being an overbearing file size.

> What do Path, Hipstamatic, Highlight, Hipster (yes, that’s an app), and Color have in common? They create absolutely nothing of value. The post begins with and relies upon this faulty premise. This is not explained, and I would argue

As far as I can figure out (through the US PTO's abysmal website), "retina display" or derivitaves is not trademarked. I'd be happy to be corrected, though.

True enough, but I don't believe that's the discussion we are, or should be, having. I think it's a case of reanalysing our consideration of the advantages and disadvantages of low-wage labour and being very fastidious about how we approach

> It solves all the major issues Twitter is having - people will stop shortening their tweets so much that they lose their intended meaning/readablity I disagree that this is a problem. The content of a tweet should be a short communica

"Good investigative work by Grant “chpwn” Paul. iOS includes a Carrier IQ daemon, but it doesn’t seem to log any particularly sensitive information. Nothing like a keylogger or reading SMS messages. He’s documenting his research on Twitter

They changed it with the mid-2007 MacBook Pro. Prior to that they had a tiny hole to the right of the iSight.

This [1] was after Jobs stepped down as CEO, but it was obviously being planned while he was chief. The company went to an almost excessive extent in order for the store to be symmetrical. [1] http://www.macrumors.com/2011/08/30/new-apple-

The bottom one is definitely Roboto. Note the "e", the longer stroke at the top of the "f", and the decidedly squarer "D".

When I can ask my smartphone "what time is the next bus arriving?" without having to touch it, that's when it's a really smart phone. I hope it's that level of a kick.

Joe Wilcox isn't the sharpest when it comes to Apple rumours. My personal favourite is his bit [1] on why the Verizon iPhone wasn't announced by Apple (there's a great response in the comments which Gruber grabbed and put on DF)[2]. Apple's

My understanding is that Apple is able to do whatever they want to their own products. They are under no obligation to support jailbreaks, Rockbox or other modifications. Encrypting the iPod has no noticeable downside for the average user,

In Formula 1, the winning driver gets a trophy, as does the team behind the car. The driver is whomever is CEO; the team is the company. But, as dasil003 said, that's a pretty horrible analogy.

After working a bit on a film in college, I started noticing cuts, and it started to drive me insane. It's one of those things that's largely inconsequential. I, as an audience member, am aware when a cut is made. But now, after doing a bit

See also products seemingly appearing in stores. This is more pronounced with Mac/iPod announcements. Steve will announce the new product and the kicker is that it's available "today in Apple Stores." That's one hell of a trick.

I was going to ask whether there was a problem with your 'u' key, but you used it in "you". I'm confused.
