Marketing. Honestly, might not be good here since it is not library and not completely written in Rust.

Imagine if they would just sell those CPUs for other use cases. Put 2x price tag if they fear losing other hardware sales.

They aren’t fully compatible yet but there is a lot of work going on now because of the new EU legistlation. LaTeX is closer. E.g https://github.com/typst/typst/issues/133 https://www.latex-project

Have you had static IP since then? A problem is that most new mail servers will have IP address with history.

Memory safety. A more serious reply, discussed last year: https://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=41208836 I think the main repo does not have Swift yet.

They haven’t solved security yet. They are doomed to repeat Firefox/Chrome issues until they start using that Swift.

A very valuable service for its price. Also translate.kagi.com is much better than Google’s one.

Someone who understands what V8 isolation means, knows that it means process-level memory and garbage collectors. I didn't claim that it includes Chrome's OS sandbox features too. But the usage of V8 means that Deno must explicitl

We are comparing to situation where the alternative is nothing. Maybe we just should remove locks from the doors because someone has lockpicked door somewhere.

What evidence is telling the opposite? Scripts use V8 isolation, identical to Chrome. What comes to rest, we can only trust or review by ourself, but it is certainly better than nothing in this context.

Depends on whom you ask. Google introducing the developer verification and sideloading on iOS being even bigger hurdle, they want to stay in control on what you use and they want to make sure you don't have possibility to use anything

Node does not have the concept of security and isolation like the Deno has. There is maintainer comment in the same thread.

I think that is not fair comparison. Proton adds additional layer which can be completely removed and affects the runtime performance. Switching different game engine changes the layer implementation, instead of removing.

Proton version will always work better if someone does not show an example and encourage the usage of native support. With Proton you are guaranteed to never reach the optimal potential, or get full advantages of the Linux/Wayland ecos

The project advertises that it has zero-allocations with minimal state. I don’t think it is fair or our problems are very different. Single string, (the most used type), and you need an allocation.

Why the process is not fixed from that part? Redesign in a way that private schools will not get any benefit from the process itself.
