I've had a few casual conversations about the collapse of California recently. In my opinion, zoning laws will be the death of San Francisco. The greed of the NIMBY's will eventually drive prices too high for anyone that didn'

The issue is that while buttons are far more expensive and provide a better user experience, touchscreens look better and are much cheaper. So what is a luxury car manufacturer to do?

Drones are pretty good at landing themselves these days if there's a need. I can't imagine one of these couldn't enforce a height limit when it's low on fuel and then land itself when it's nearly empty.

I wasn't attempting to, nor am I comfortable with suggesting that others can find my same level of success without a college degree. I'm in the 98th percentile of earners for my age. And that's just my salary in the mid level

Amazons current job postings (at least at pillpack) advertise the need for a degree or 3 YEARS of experience for every 1 year a degree takes. So 12 years experience = 1 degree.

I'm a successful college dropout, and I completely disagree. One of the strongest motivators for me leaving school after 1 year was the realization that virtually all of my classes gave me no more benefit than if I had just purchased t

What if you keep that in mind though? For example, I believe myself to be TERRIBLE at brain teaser type questions, especially in interviews. Keeping this in mind while interviewing candidates, I can still learn many useful things. Does this

This seems like it would make the insane cost of living most of these companies are in much more manageable, no? I've never considered leaving my low cost of living area because I figured my standard of living would go down on the aver

Do these companies exist outside of major cities? I don't think there is a single company in Utah that does sign on bonuses. At least none that i've ever heard of.

We set it all the time over here in Utah. Some heavy tourist cities wanted to ban plastic bags at grocery stores. The state swooped in and made it illegal to ban plastic bags in the entire state. The "free market" has to decide if

The Greeter at my local Walmart has a nasty scowl and makes me feel really uncomfortable every time I walk in there. I for one welcome this move towards a more anti-social world.

I know, I've had these arguments. But it's asinine because it is quite literally impossible for any human to exist without animals dying as a result of it. There are a small percentage of vegans that are convinced that their exist

Farming at any scale results in unintended animal deaths, serving no purpose other than to "get out of the way" so we can farm here. Hunting results in the death of a single animal, and that animal is then directly used for food.

Hunting is most likely the best option from an animal ethics standpoint. Although it doesn't scale well. But make that point to a vegan and suddenly they're vegan primarily for environmental concerns.

For all the crap we give China and their authoritarian government, airport security is FAR easier at every Chinese airport I've been to. Walk through a metal detector and get a quick non-invasive pat down.
