I had a different glitch but this reminded me. I have a 2017 Macbook Pro. About a week ago, the left speaker randomly started blasting odd rhythmic white noise. It stopped after a few seconds, but it appears to have blown the left speaker.

I don't like this fatalistic attitude. Privacy is not black and white. I switched to signal, duck duck go, and Firefox. And since then, no one knows how to target ads to me anymore. That's a privacy win, even if there's a lon

Most of the discussion here is making this far too one-sided. I reserve the right to control how content is delivered to my devices by blocking ads, and spotify reserves the right to block my account for doing so. Both of those practices ar

I just don't get it. a John Deere Gator with two seats and 4 wheels, and not much else costs over $7000 new. No windows, No airbags, pathetic top speed, not road legal. A Lada 4x4 costs less than that brand new in Russia. Road legal, s

I started using ghostjs recently for personal writing. It's probably the most enjoyable writing experience I've ever had. Makes me want to come up with more reasons to write.

This is not the case in Utah. I started my career in California and left a previous job in Utah with weeks of PTO unused and was shocked to discover there was no legal requirement to pay me for that time.

I think 99% of the time bringing up survivorship bias adds nothing to the conversation. If I tell you how I ran a marathon, you could shout "survivorship bias!" But that fact still stands that I hadn't successfully run a mara
