Well, they didn't think of anyone as "white" in a meaningful way. They were primarily concerned with Pan-Germanicism.

I'll never understand this reductionist argument. Yes, YouTube/Facebook/Salesforce/etc can do whatever they want. That doesn't mean that it's good for society or that it's not worth talking about.

The battleground was fascism vs. capitalism vs. communism. Fascism was, at it's core, reactionairy to the rise of communism and it's dishonest to describe it simply as "white nationalism". Furthermore, for a "white

@observable/useState/React.Component.state are all conceptually identical, just with varying implementations of the magic. All of them summon an observable value from the void and provide some method of updating said observable. T

What's the difference between a class and a function with local state? (Semantics aside, either way this behavior is implemented in React via useState or setState, MobX has nothing to do with it)

I think it's a closer analogue to React.useState.

This has nothing to do with Redux. Redux is about storing global data, nothing more.

I'm sure they make a killing on undergrads though. I can't imagine losing money when you're paying adjuncts a few grand to teach a class of 60 students.

React really hasn't changed much since React.Component was introduced. Some lifecycle methods were deprecated/replaced, and hooks were added. That's honestly about it.

Hooks are used for abstracting component state logic. React is just as agnostic concerning how you implement your business logic as ever.
