Yes, the only real difference between an air conditioner and a heat pump is that air conditioning only works one way, whereas a heat pump has some valves and solenoids and whatnot that allow it to switch directions. It's kind of bonke

In the US, heat pumps are not unheard of, but they are fairly rare. (Not counting air conditioning, which no one here thinks of as a "heat pump" even tough it essentially is.) Trying to get a HVAC company to install a heat pump ca

It's not even limited to high-end devices these days. The moto g100 launched at $400 (I got mine for $270), and it supports "Ready For", which is Motorola's version of Samsung Dex. Plug it into any standard USB-C hub, co

I haven't done this recently, and it was in a laptop CPU, but in the past I was able to get a combination of lower power/temps and better performance by undervolting an Intel CPU. Presumably something similar can be done with curr

That's definitely part of the issue, but compare the SD8G1 to the SD8G1+: these two chips are literally the exact same design, but the SD8G1 is manufactured by Samsung while the SD8G1+ is manufactured by TSMC. The TSMC variant ends up

Perhaps the parent should have said "lead to" rather than "forced", but the point still stands that Qualcomm went to Samsung's foundries, which provided lower quality results. The Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 was a hot turd.
