Hi everyone – I’m putting these groups together to help people expand their personal networks and hold threaded discussions in an environment where everyone gets to know each other. Up to this point, I’ve directly invited most of the users

After seeing the the success of cameo.com, I think this could be a good way to get in touch with hard-to-reach influencers/celebrities/etc - might be a good way to send pitches to to high value contacts as well.

HN users do (well, sometimes), and that's why I love the users here. Any time I share a startup, I get at least a little bit of feedback about my TOS/privacy policy.

I'd love a monitor like that for off-grid, low power use. I'd probably also want a linux distro specifically tailored to an e-ink format.

That's awesome - I like the idea that the bell-making business was baked in from the start. I think the same could be done with software development or some sort of SaaS instead of bell-making.

Cool - my email is in my profile. If there's a few people interested, we can put a small chat group together. If nothing else, this kind of thing is fun to talk about.

That's why I like the idea of doing these sorts of projects in the deserts - where the zoning and county codes are often a lot more lenient, and you can be far enough away from anyone else that NIMBYism is almost nonexistent. I've

Perhaps incidents like these will increase the popularity of amateur radio. I'm curious if there's any studies on the potential impacts of the US carriers begin down for a day or a week or more.

True - I'm not necessarily agreeing or disagreeing with it. It will send a good message to some people and a bad one to others. To other government agencies, they may see github as a liability and end up leaving github altogether - I t

I don't think OP meant it's lunacy because of any legal obligations private companies have to a federal organization, but rather due to the message it would send to current and future customers.
