I stopped going there after they sold me a previously used item as new (I'd been a customer for at least 20 years). Kind of gross to get a mouse that someone else had used, and was DOA anyway. If they're going to lie and sell retu

If you're just coding, you're not going to have as much use for it as someone who spends a considerable amount of time in a terminal - but at that point it becomes a vital skill. Still, I always use vim plugins in my IDE, it'

Will give this a spin, but anyone who enjoys this might like to take a look at the etherape package, I really like its visualizations.

Thanks for sharing, hard to tell what to make of that - I think it warrants some investigation though. I wonder if there's anyone who'd want to make an anecdotal report on something like this.

I've never heard of anything like that happening (and admittedly I'm skeptical) - can you expand on the event that caused you to lose your hearing? What did your doctors say about it?

Could these people just form an LLC to get around this? So you'd be acting as a business not an individual.

hah - I had a high school teacher (~20 years ago - she taught the computer class) and she constantly called the entire box a 'cpu' too - a few of us gave her grief for it but it was all in good fun. BTW I think your blog looks cle

Happened to me a ton as a kid. Now maybe I only get it once every few years. A long time ago I learned I could 'exit' sleep paralysis, and after that I actually began to enjoy it and not try to immediately exit it - it's like

Have you been following the 'new Model F' keyboards? https://www.modelfkeyboards.com/ - it's cool to see how much interest there is in them.

Did anyone figure out why this happened? I wonder if this would feel similar to when you sit awkwardly and your leg goes numb - it kind of feels like you're just walking on your bone. Trying to walk with a leg that's 'asleep&

I always assumed it was because they thought I was attacking one of their flock, like they were trying to intimidate me. They never came close or swooped down or anything. Just circled hundreds of feet above.

When I was ~10 years old, I found a fake decorative crow (Halloween stuff) and I figured out that I could jump up and down with the fake crow and it would only be a matter of time before a few real crows would start circling... 15 minutes l

Not an easy project, but you should definitely look to 3d printing for design. Take a look at projects like this https://all3dp.com/3d-printed-laptop-case/

The WSJ article makes me feel better about strongly urging a family member against an investment in a hemp farm in 2018. They used an unrealistic value for the price of CBD in their projections and didn't account for a decrease in the

Is there a possibility that using this method might actually cause people to delay treatment? (i.e. ordering this kit instead of immediately going to their doctor) I like the idea though, especially once you expand the number of tests avail

Go to one of the popular land-for-sale websites and look up "landlocked" or "no easement" - you can get the land for almost nothing (for good reason).

Maybe I'm being pedantic, but when you own waterfront land in California, I wouldn't say you can generally do what you want with it. The CA deserts, on the other hand, make a property owner feel like they actually own the land. Fo

Being able to order a pizza via a new technology is a humorous benchmark. Reminds me of the first pizza ordered with bitcoin. The next big one might be the first person to order a pizza with a brain implant.

I'm also interested in this and have spent considerable time learning/practicing off-gridding. The key is finding good land in unincorporated areas with a permissive county code. There's a few good counties in California for

I've also hosted a few mattermost instances, highly recommended. It's a YC company too which is cool. I like that you can choose to use the smartphone app, desktop app or the web app - just like slack except you host it.

Good luck. I like how you don't have any trackers on your site (according to my browser bar at least, didn't actually look into it). I'm sure you could use that as a selling point somehow.
