I don't know about things like radio buttons that look like physical switches, that's often going to far for my taste (unless it's for atmosphere in a game), but when it comes to the bevels etc around which much of this discussion seems to

Well, I seem to have at least 5 peeps who silently agree -- two who vocally disagree. And you didn't mention anything in the movie, you know, pointing out a flaw in what I said; and you won't even watch it yourself - so what exactly are you

Hahaha, you wish! My problem isn't lack of demand, if anything it's women pouting because I ignore them, and dudes being aggro because said women are pouting. so thanks for playing. Maybe you should simply speak for yourself and otherwise g

I've seen LOTR, and I read the book (at an appropriate age too haha). I "know" The Hobbit is no less pompous and derpificated a conversion. Just looking at still images of it is enough for me. The good guys are good looking, the bad guys

The former are quite flawed but they're still people. Which is kind of the reason for making a principled stand: They are human, they aren't going to go away anytime soon, they want to be respected or even loved, and extreme shallowness m

Who with a shred of intelligence, and the same apprecation of females as human beings and persons as they have for males, would think otherwise? Why should a "hot chick" or a "big earner" increase your "social status" with anyone but comple

What's the more brainless, the person who watches a movie and contemplates it, or one who dismisses it without a thought? Without a thought, and without paying attention to any indicators.. or merely without watching the full-length movie

That still only impresses the kind of people who would be impressed by a sports car; the solution obviously is to hang out with more shallow people. Make 'em dumb fucking sexists for bonus points.

The Hobbit is a story for kids; and by the point grown men make million-dollar budget movies out of it, there isn't much of the original life left, anyway. The original contract is super short; the movie contract is extremely bloated... may

That's what filters are for. For that of course users would need first meaningful (!) tools to curate their own content; instead of just throwing everything onto their profile in chronological order. Maybe some helpful default suggestions t

Imagine a Facebook that actually revolved around letting users create, organize and find "personal content" -- with none of the arbitrary filtering of the "stream", and paying for increased video/photo storage and turning ads off. There,

If you have people adding "spurious" stuff to your code, you have a bigger problem than coding style. Why would you need locks on your door if you live on a planet with only friends on it? If you don't; why don't you?
