Number 3 doesn’t add up if we look at AWS. Some estimates I can find are AWS is at that number alone. Especially given that they supply resources to 3 of the other companies in the list. I would love to see other reports on those numbers.

I think OpenAI and LLM's in general are a victim of their user friendliness. Honestly, when was the last time that we got a new technology that was as user friendly as talking to an LLM for the average user? For most users, its magical

Unless I am misunderstanding the article (or it is just not giving enough information), it isn't that Apple removed direct access to the hardware in watchos 5 but that they changed the algorithm. It seems the previous algorithm gave mo

I feel like there are some really important details about this missing. First off, are there really a loss of sales of heart monitors because of this? I would think that the only people who had real time heart monitors are those that were g

I have been pretty adamant about the privacy issues and stealing of content issues with AI... but this particular case seems, honestly I am on the side of perplexity here. Mostly... Once we get to the point of this AI running locally, or yo

Right which is why I acknowledge there is nuance, but I just strongly disagree with it being "barely less bad" when I would consider it "significantly less bad" or borderline not bad at all depending on how far things go

I have to disagree with anyone that thinks it is "barely less bad". I mean we make countless bad decisions as humans, many of them rash last minute decisions in a time of desperation. Given the ease of just making an account and t

It is worth putting out a very big caveat here that "piracy" in this sense is not downloading an Iso through BitTorrent when Microsoft provides the ISO for LTSC to freely download through your browser. The 'piracy' eleme

I have noticed that there seems to be a subset of gamers that want so badly for Linux gaming to be a thing that they ignore the problems. For the record it is great, they have done a very good job with proton and I am not diminishing that w

Most likely not, however I run LTSC on 4 different gaming setups. Steam Deck, Legion GO, and 2 desktops of various power for TV and desktop gaming. So I have a decent range of hardware to test these claims on.

I honestly would not be too worried about that happening. LTSC is likely a small but critical part to Microsoft keeping Windows in control, being able to continue to deploy Windows in places that may have otherwise moved to Linux. Once an o

Which Forza and which LTSC version? I have not had issues with Horizon 5 or the new Forza on my steam deck under Windows 10 LTSC 2021. I believe I played both at or near launch. That is the first I have heard of a game not working on LTSC.

It is interesting because a lot of people criticize Apple as basically you are paying for privacy. And that is very true, they have turned it into a marketing feature. But Microsoft is very brazen about it when it comes to Windows. The more
