Interesting. I thought Apple didn't allow VM's running on top of iOS.

Although, native apps will likely always perform better, I think this is a step in the direction for small companies and startups that don't have the resources to build and support mobile applications for all platforms. As mobile platforms

It will be very interesting to see how much Adobe supports and encourages these types of projects going forward. Will we ever see an official standards-based PDF reader delivered by Adobe?

Very interesting. Is there a performance benefit to using "const" instead of "var" to declare variables in JS?

Very interesting. Most of the Groupon customer stories I have read thus far are from lower-margin merchants such as restaurants. Since Groupon customers likely skip the upsells (wine, appetizers and desserts), restaurants seem to be less

Definitely agree that Mac's and desktops are not going away anytime soon. For those that need to create and maintain content, the power of the laptop/desktop is still needed. However, the ease of use of tablets and smartphones, combined w

The announcements seem impact the smaller, niche, API's. It's unlikely that this would ever happen to large API's such as Maps, Analytics, etc. However, the Translate API was definitely very cool.

I agree with you here. It appears to be a landing page that consolidates the downloadable Mac software and also tracks and allows redownloading of the software via the library feature.

Recall, that at the time of the Netscape IPO (1995), Netscape and even the Internet was relatively unknown by most non-technical people, thus the ensuing hype and gold-rush mentality. This time around, the Internet and social media is in t

On a related note, has anyone been able to compare the performance of apps built using the Adobe exporters (iOS and AIR for Android) vs. apps developed in the native languages (Objective C and Android SDK)?

Update: Just find this page from Zillow ( http://www.zillow.com/howto/api/neighborhood-boundaries.htm ). It's in the shape file format.

That's what I'm finding as well. I searched through the Census site and found PUMA references and was able to find some neighborhood data and various local university library pages, but no single source with everything -- besides expensive

On a related note. Did anyone else notice today's removal of the "status" query string variable and the switch solely to "Web Intents"? http://dev.twitter.com/pages/intents . I believe many Twitter sharing buttons used the simpler query s

Very impressive. I really like the vintage feel of this demo! Runs very well on 2010 MBP with FF4. For those that didn't make it to the end, here is the list of applications, libraries and file formats used: BeatDetektor.js, Beat Detec

Exactly! As much I have tried to switch back to browser bookmarks, syncing and other social tools, nothing seems to do the job as well as Delicious. The browser integrations are very fast and the overall implementation is extremely simple.

Great News!!! As a long-time Delicious user, I'm glad to see that it will continue on. I'm looking forward to any enhancements, but hoping the core of the service does not change too much.
