a video equivalent of the mandatory shutter sound, I mean. You might overlook an LED and it can be covered, but a constant loud noise is unmistakeable hopefully.

Do we no longer habitually install an ad block for friends and family? There's gotta be some naive users with an ad blocker that way, or default within brave or whatever

If they're doing any analysis they must be recording in some sense, right? So logically the indicator needs to be active the whole time.

I don't see how that's related to the meta glasses case here? Are people going to dissent by wearing them...? Can you expand on what you mean?

What would be best for a video equivalent of that? I can imagine an old school "film rolling" sound playing for as long as it's recording, or some tape hiss or something.

Content based ads work fine for this. If you have a site about some topic, advertisers for that audience can just pay you some amount to put their ad in your posts or embed an image. Networks are only necessary if you want to run new ads fo

I always assumed those were statically linked into the binary or installer or something on Windows. Are people pulling down dependencies through the .msi?

That's just a sleep med, right? I mean something to let you get the repair and cleaning faster, not just induce sleep.

You can use third party camera apps - https://f-droid.org/en/packages/net.sourceforge.opencamera/ is a decent one. I know there's a few professional ish options too with dslr ish focus control.

I feel like I'd want the opposite of this - something that mimics the cleaning process of sleep that you could use in the afternoon for a nap or etc.

Try pretending your wife and children are in a car being pulled over for a drug inspection and think from that perspective. Or to have their papers checked to make sure they're not illegal aliens, whichever you prefer.

Should they? There's lots of things that are currently crimes that I don't believe should be crimes, so I have no reason to support policing in at least those cases.

Why did they need to have guns drawn and that many cops, even if the flag had been correct? A car involved in a homicide investigation doesn't mean it's even being driven by the suspect. It's not a positive ID at all

I don't think it would be logistically that hard to criminalize the parents or take away their kids in those cases. It would have a lot of other downsides but it would probably reduce the rate pretty directly.

Yeah, that's one of my questions. Everyone who talks to AI for too long seems to get worse at writing anyway, and humans mirror any form of conversation to some extent.

This feels testable - you could go to fanfiction or similar sites with billions of words of writing from before 2016 or so and run them through it. I tried a chapter just now and got human doing that, but I'm not invested enough to run
