The book "Gravity's Rainbow" had this as a theme throughout. That Capitalism will co-op anything that it finds useful. That there's no way to subvert it as it will pick up on, embrace, and exploit it for profit. Amazon s

Poverty is the default state. We shouldn’t ask why we have poor people but rather how can more wealth be generated to have fewer poor people. Our system has redefined what it means to be poor. So much that we’ve forgotten that abject povert

It goes like this: 1) it’s not happening. 2) ok it’s happening but it’s not a big deal. 3) it’s actually good that it’s happening. 4) the people complaining about it happening are problematic.

Your argument is that because in your opinion we don't arrest enough white color criminals that we shouldn't bother with violent criminals? I don't understand how these are related? This isn't a trade or a negotiation. L

I should rent a car multiple times every week? No thank you. I don’t think people with infants and toddlers expect them to ride a bike. Taking kids around to their clubs and sports, etc isn’t practical. I’m happy almost no one thinks like y

Life is a lot more than cities and traveling between them. The USA has a vast array of things not in it even close to cities. The USA is vast and beautiful and many people like to explore our nature, parks, etc, etc.

People like to do more things than take the train back and forth. I’ve spent a lot of time in the UK and I’ve had to use a car to go to most places outside of commuting to and within the city. In the USA there’s even more to do and see that
