Wow really? I never knew that. Who thought it would be a good idea to have the Explorer search NOT do filename search by default?

I can't remember the last time I used Windows search because it's worse than useless - there have been multiple occasions in the past where it can't even find a file in the current folder right in front of my eyes. Nowadays I

That Powershell script seems to show the current status only, and not have any option to turn the protections on/off?

Say what you want about EventBus but at least it's simple, non-intrusive and straightforward. You annotate your listener method, register your listener, post an event and boom done. In contrast I've heard war stories about RxJava,

TOTP has always been a second password (heck, it's in the name). If you know the secret and the algorithm you can do the maths yourself in theory without needing any hardware, so in theory it can always be considered "something yo

When people talk about Python being slow, it's generally about the CPU-intensive tasks. Image processing, data file parsing and transformation, those kind of things. Sure you can use C library bindings for those but that's kinda c

Ah ok I guess my confusion is from the fact that there's no explicit "string" being passed around with this library, but the concept of a payload makes sense.

Maybe I'm dumb but I've read your comments a few times over and I still haven't quite understand what you were trying to say. "Calling methods via strings where you control all the source code to your own application &qu

This is kinda like the argument between an authoritative government and a democratic one, the former works great until it doesn't. When it works, the former is more efficient and can get things done much more quickly but when things go

It used to work great but over time more and more threads are broken and cannot be viewed in old reddit, for example the poll threads, or the prediction threads, or threads with inline images mixed with texts.

It's the worst. It only shows a few comments so 99% of the time you would need to load the normal page anyway. It also messes with the way Google indexes the date of the page, so the date of the page according to Google is almost alway

> Does Authy actually offer 2FA I'm not sure what you meant by this, Authy certainly provides TOTP, and the encryption password is only used when you need to sync the 2FA secret to other devices, which by the way also requires confi

+1 for Authy. Just get a used cheap Android phone for like $30 and use it as the backup device for Authy and never fear about losing your 2FA device again.

I can hide the whole tab bar when using TST, but doing so will also hide the window buttons (minimize/maximize/close), which is annoying.

Short of outright banning Chinese products like the US did with Huawei I don't see how you can compete with the Chinese when they make things faster, cheaper, and with minimal quality loss. The last point about quality is even debatabl

Certain topics like politics or war or religion or LGBT will always tend to produce flame wars and "toxic wasteland" no matter which platform. The technical threads are usually a lot better.

The line is very blurry. The only major difference between a console and a smartphone is that a console is intended from the get go to be a gaming device, whereas a smartphone is more of a generic computing device, but even then it's h
