You serious man? I see it every day when I have to use this god-forsaken Rails shit, it's so fucking slow to load the view and THEN it loads the data, literally the worst of both worlds

When I use apps like this - GitLab - I am struck by how much wasted user time such an approach leads to. Everything is a page refresh Send me some counter examples? Im a big SPA fan and there’s lots of good examples

Why would you criticize a platform because corporations misuse that platform? MS intentionally cripples its web offerings because native ones can collect way more data. The web and its featureset are not responsible for issues like "un

This is a really weird characterization of a normal airplane function. First, you are seeming to act as if the power between passengers and pilots should be equal. Why would this ever be? The pilot has all the power and the passengers none.

Is this really true? I joined a small team in 2017 and carried them to success by building many applications at high speed. Now my team has tripled in size since then, and I have had multiple promotions and have around 5 reports on average

So you are writing naked JS or what? A lot of developers decided slow compiles - I don’t know what pathological case you stumbled on to make a single file take 3s tho - is far superior to needing to suss out runtime errors, and I find it ha
