Public domain is ambiguous in some countries: http://stackoverflow.com/questions/219742/open-source-why-no... There are ways to work around this such as what SQLite does (public domain + explicit license to anyone who asks): http://www.s

That whole introduction needs to be scrapped and rewritten for NPOV (also for shitty writing). And I'm not sure the guy is notable enough for his own page. That being said, his 'about' page is more useful than wikipedia in this case: http:

What if the chip fails? What if you forget your password? You should have backups (and not just a backup password). On Linux, use dm-crypt/LUKS. Why oh why is this still not easy to set up? It is very easy IMO (the only differing steps

Great save for a bad mistake. Still leaves me with a shitty feeling. Basically this boils down to "sorry we got caught", they knew what they were doing. Not to single out Path, a massive number of apps are guilty of this behavior.

Small business owners get pitched for stuff several times a week. It gets to the point where you refuse everything outright unless you're looking for something specific.

Open Source software that doesn't support locked up content or formats will give an inferior user experience for the foreseeable future. This is not entirely true. I think you mean to say we will have access to less content, which is true

I think we've pretty much ruined URLs in terms of usability. Sometimes they are logically organized URI's which point to a specific resource but a lot of the time they are a jumble of characters for session state, tracking info, script name

I was assuming we'd still have laptops and every other form factor we have now, just that you'd need your smartphone in your pocket to actually use your laptop. It is the hub, it has all your files, it is automatically backed up over the ne
