Disagree. Just because the ide wrote a bunch of boilerplate for me at some point doesn't mean I can know the boilerplate is unchanged without reading a bunch of getters and setters. The mental burden of tiny classes is so much nicer to

The way I use Thunderbird is I have the top section on the email list and use the arrows to quickly jump to the next email and read it from the preview window on the bottom half of the screen. Since my screen is only so big the denser displ

I hope I can opt back into the more dense display that we currently have. Some other parts look quite nice however.

I've been using Joplin for a few years now. But only recently I've been exploring writing my own plugins for it. I've never written a plugin for anything before but it's been very easy, and overall a very pleasant experi

That sounds cool as hell. I was always impressed when I jumped on hypixel just how much custom server work must've gone into it.

I'm sympathetic to this point of view but unless we're linking these so called toxins with a worse outcome how can we know they're actually causing harm? In all likelihood we'll die of a heart attack before any amount of

Some cyphers maybe. But it's highly unlikely that all or even most in use are compromised. There are many cryptography researchers who aren't part of the NSA. Other nations for example. And banks obviously trust some cryptography.

I wonder what gpt.com.au are thinking. They pre date todays GPT usage so they're surely safe but their name just became confusing overnight.

It's worth noting that the Americans here will likely experience wetter than normal conditions (region dependent). I'm just happy Australia might have a year without so much rain. Might be a bad fire season in the end of the year

In my opinion copyright is a law that is always at odds with the free flow of information. I'd hate for that law to start influencing how I interact with user generated text on the internet. As we see on YouTube, nuance for copyright l

Your point doesn't hold any weight though? I've heard the phrase lots of times from various people. What if I said "I've only heard the word Americanism from Stalin". You wouldn't care and I'd be silly to

Haven't seen many cockatoos go for rubbish where I live (they like the bugs more) but if they're anything like the crows at my old school they make a lot of mess when they open a bin. The crows used to lift a rather heavy metal li

Electronics is a big field. I think it really depends what you want to do in it that will determine the best way to learn it. I'd recommend people start with basic circuit theory then build up to op amps and then diodes, transistors, e
