Where do you get vitamin c?
- jononomo 4y agoFresh meat contains vitamin C, as does liver. In fact, it has been known for hundreds of years that fresh meat prevents scurvy — the reason people associate vitamin C with citrus is because lemons were taken on board long ship voyages back in the day to prevent scurvy — but this is because you can’t keep meat fresh for months on a ship without refrigeration.
- nabogh 4y agoSo you eat organ meats too?
- sushid 4y agoMost carnivores argue that "you're not doing it right" if you avoid offals. Some take offals in pill form or blend some into burgers. There are lots of actually delicious ways to eat them, especially in Asian cuisine (admittedly I'm biased here).
- jononomo 4y agoI do eat liver, but I go in spurts - sometimes I'll go several months without eating any liver, other times I'll eat it daily for a week or two.
