Preface: I'm a hetero white male physician. I care for an underserved 99.9+% non-white population that has an incredibly robust history of trauma due to while males (I live and work on the Navajo Native American reservation, USA). That

Interesting. I'm a male physician, more often than not I chide myself for entirely forgetting to ask / think about menstruation.

All totally fair! And thanks for your response. I have to admit that I've really enjoyed rust, and I think it actually pairs well with python. But I'm sure you've heard plenty of rust evangelism, and as it wasn't one of

How did you select those two as your options? I'm just a hobbyist that enjoys programming, and I eventually wanted to expand beyond python. I looked at Haskell and read Learn You a Haskell and did some Exercism exercises but never got

Out of curiosity, how are you measuring blood thickness? Your username seems fairly anonymous -- would you be willing to share what dysthymia you experienced, and whether it resolved or is ongoing?

I have several friends / acquaintances that have converted to this kind of concierge practice. At least a few years ago, $5k / patient / year was a going price for one of them, which gave you basically 24/7 more-or-less

Depending on the complexity and acuity of the problem, I'm surprised that urgent care providers are willing to make these referrals. It puts them on the hook for reviewing consultation notes and followup results on potentially dozens o

This looks like an interesting project! Your phrases made me think the wasm support was an official nvim move, but it looks like this is a third party project. Is that right?

Love espanso, I use it in Mac, Linux, and Windows! The creator is also incredibly nice, one of those rare open source devs that seems to go out of his way to validate concerns and make PRs truly feel welcome. Great project.

I could care less about faster, but I would sure love to switch from Jekyll to something that builds from a statically linked binary. I only put our blog posts a couple times per year, but it seems that the Jekyll dependencies move beneath

What is the base rate of a not-very-suspicious-but-maybe-a-little-bit finding on imaging of an asymptomatic person in the general not-sick population? I think pretending that medicine is equipped to deal with this in a healthy way is stretc

I think some directives can be duplicated -- like AllowUsers. But I got bit by something related yesterday when NixOS suddenly changed the merge order and put my AllowUsers from own file below a Match from another file and locked me out :(

Can curl do the url encoding? Isn't there some new "variables" thing in the newest release? Can valid Unix usernames have special characters that need escaping? I should know that by now.

On my iPhone 13 Pro very confusing in portrait mode in Firefox -- just shows the image, no code. Have to rotate to landscape mode and code appears to the side. (In safari doesn't even show with landscape mode.)

I think you'd need to know the distribution of criminal suspects, which may or may not reflect the general population. For example if 50% of the suspects are white, then 80% of the population being black wouldn't matter. Right? ED

Fair, but "learning / maintaining Linux" is not a singular entity. Every project uses a different configuration (toml, yaml, json, ini, etc.), much of which can often be accomplished -- even for multiple machines simultaneous
