Exactly! Amazing how non-linear the improvements have been. (As context, I'm a US physician.)

I think the detractors of your comment would have less ground if you compared the life expectancy at 10 yo in Pompeii to that of a 10 yo from, say, 100 years ago, in which case at least I find it surprising that the difference is not far gr

Just got around to working on my NixOS sway setup this week. Working better than I had expected! If you want, there are dedicated HM options to use for your key bindings[1] and outputs[2] (ie for your background) instead of putting things i

Interesting! Not often using either crate, this example looks like something for which I might usually look to nom. Is there a reason I should consider using regex for this use case instead (if neither is a pre-existing dependency)?

I don't think wrapping my entire shell session in a moderately complex third party tool (that maybe just uses pbcopy under the hood[1]) counts as "simply" when compared to my existing solution which just pipes over ssh and a

So much of my Linux use is over ssh from a MacOS client that I've made a `pbcopy` executable that just pipes stdin over ssh to my MacBook to its pbcopy (with a dedicated ssh key that runs this as a forced command). Makes it super nice

NixOS is a Linux distro based on the nix package manager. There is a freebsd package for nix, I am 90% sure. NixOS on FreeBSD seems nonsensical, like saying Ubuntu on FreeBSD.

All of the commenters so far (and the article's title) seem to assume that this is causative of good health. Why is that? I'm aware that fecal transplants can help cure C diff infections. Do we have randomized, placebo-controlled
