You really should try reading the economist for several weeks. They are pretty dry (not sensational) and filled with analysis. They also do a much better job than most American mainstream publications about giving space/content to the

It's so funny to me that people treat businesses and government so differently. Want results from your start up? Find someone to invest in it. Want results from a government program? Well, we need to cut out all the wasteful spending.

Your story is really strange and your takeaway is the exact opposite of what it should be. Alice just jumped to the conclusion that Bob was a criminal? How is that okay? The answer to your story isn't for Bob to reveal potentially emba

Right, but the rate at which the world is warming is a lot higher than it has been before. You are looking at point in time measurements and not comparing how we move between those measurements. If things heat up too quickly, evolution won&

I was looking at this tonight and I think Google lets you set up "alias emails" in the admin. So if you have multiple users for just yourself, you could collapse those into a 1 user with multiple aliases. That should help with you

Just to add to this, it sounds like OP didn't contact Affirm until after they already started the charge back. I definitely don't think it is appropriate to do a charge back before contacting the vendor that got the payment, which

This is kind of OP's fault, right? I don't think it was appropriate to initiate a charge back on a payment to affirm since they provided their service to OP, that is they already paid for whatever OP was buying. I have a feeling t

The price from O'Reilly is 50/month or 500/year. I think there is a lot of content there, but I'm also finding it hard to stomach their pricing. $100/year was a no brainer (or whatever the membership fee for ACM was

I think the sense of entitlement is on the hiring manager's side if they want multiple applicants to burn through 6-8 hours of free time to take an assessment of their skills. Then those same hiring managers are the ones complaining ab

What do you think the regulatory timeline would be for this? If my startup had a working L5 car today, how long would it take regulators to approve so the general public could buy it? I'm guessing optimistically 3 years but probably 5+
