Why click into this thread then? Do you think they will make a Swift 7 with these release notes: - removed 10 keywords cause chairhairair didn't like them - fixed swiftui cause too many users don't know order matters - added anoth

This is a very impressive release. The continued type checker improvements are amazing, improved memory safety helping to expose hidden traps, improved debugging, improved dev experience for Android. Great job!

I don't understand this viewpoint. So, the release version is 27.0 build 26A428. That build is static, how can it get more stable than it is right now? Lets say 27.1 comes out in 2 weeks - do you update to 27.0 instead of 27.1? When is

Xcode 27 beta 3 has been the most stable release I've ever used. The type checking improvements were understated so I gotta laugh at this xcode avoidance. Areas they could improve - what ever the heck is going on in their diffing ui fo

Can you fix the resizing text box issue on Safari when a new line is inserted? When your question wraps to a newline Safari locks up for a few seconds and it's really annoying. You can test by pasting text too.

I mean... "In projects with many local Swift packages (~160 packages, ~2,100 targets), the "Compute target dependency graph" phase takes 60+ seconds" I'm doubting this is a comparable setup for the vast majority of

> Apple barely maintains compatibility for their own platforms... You're commenting on a post about an update... that they apparently don't do? What?

Posted for 2 hours and almost half the takes are pretty unhinged and downvoted. I'd say this is pretty disappointing that they keep pushing these kinds of mass surveillance laws "just in case". A preferable alternative is to

Same here. Not really understanding the complaints for macOS. I think the addition of icons in the context and menus is worse than glass.

> I make it clear it's not about specs, it's not about UI, its about the fact that apple makes the world actively worse so they can sell you a better alternative. I like the UI. What do you think they making worse?

Same opinion. It just feels off. Why use `fun` for function declarations instead of func or function? Dropping () before { makes it hard to tell what runs first. It feels like it's trying to be different for the sake of being different

It's invaluable for mobile developers. What you think you sent and in what order, is not always what happens. Charles and Proxyman help you figure that out.

Many developers have no issue achieving their desired designs with Representable or just swiftui.

Alright, I think I know what you mean - swift does have a peculiar way of completing tasks but I would also say C++ and ObjC do too but I also don't think there are too many ways. I find you can do apply java and javascript type thinki
