Not the case, it takes significantly longer... if it happens at all. Much longer. It took until 2019 for checkra1n to become a thing to unlock Apple A7 to A11 devices. Apple A11 is a 2017 SoC. A12, A13, A14 remain uncracked today. In Androi

Visual Studio ran on Windows on Arm64 since the very beginning, it had broken local debugging for quite a while though... (and of course, doesn't run natively but under binary translation) Officially though, it is not considered as sup

On modern Windows, you can have multi arch packages as .appxbundle or .msixbundle.

DLLs shipped with the OS (and quite some 3rd-party ones too) are ARM64X. This means that they expose both the ARM64 and ARM64EC ABIs.

The measurements are of system firmware and bootloader stages + configuration. If you change any of those... Then, in the case of full drive encryption, you'll be asked for the BitLocker recovery key at bootup. If you used Windows Hell

The TPM gets the measurements of the state of the system during different phases of the boot process, and only releases the key if those measurements match. It's also designed to not be able to be able to extract the key material out o

It's not intended for use case in production. It's a Windows Core OS SKU. (like Windows Holographic or Windows 10X) Architectures that it supports are: 32-bit Arm, 64-bit Arm and 64-bit x86.

It's too low level of an interface to directly expose to web apps tbh.

> because you have to extract them to use them Nope, the thing is that you ask the TPM to sign something with the key/secret, but the TPM will not allow you by design to exfiltrate the secret.

For a web exposed use case: TPMs are used as part of Windows's FIDO2 implementation, to make sure that the secret actually cannot be exfiltrated to other hardware. That doesn't come with any particular privacy concerns however.

It's not mandated on for the newer Windows on Arm64 systems, but is configurable there. Windows RT was just Windows 8 with a locked code signing policy, yup. And yes, Office on Windows RT was Win32, as were File Explorer, MMC, ... it&#

For the A8 gen: iPad mini 4 is A8 with 2GB of RAM and remains supported. iPad Air 2 is A8X (with 2GB of RAM) too and remains supported. Other devices to remain supported are Apple TV HD (A8 with 2GB of RAM) and HomePod (A8 + 1GB RAM, but no

It was probably a sane technical choice for them. RPi4 is made on the same node as the Snapdragon 800 (28nm), but with a much more recent (and bigger) CPU complex, using the Cortex-A72. As a bunch of RPis are headless anyway...

To elaborate a bit more on the GPU peak FP32 perf: > VideoCore VI @ 500MHz: 500 [MHz] x 2 [slice] x 4 [qpu/slice] x 4 [processor] x 2 [op/clock] = 32 Gflop/s which is the RPi4 config. compared to a Snapdragon 800: 147.9Gfl

The RPi4 GPU is very weak for the tricks that Dolphin does. Good luck to get Ubershaders running on that for example. The CPU isn't much of an issue. Emulating a platform at such a low level in real-time is very heavy resource-wise, by

OpenCL 2.x wasn’t well supported by others either, AMD’s implementation was pretty unusable and only had printf as a debug mechanism. There was no hardware at all on which you could rely on it, on top of it being much worse than CUDA.

It is not actually incompatible within the same die, IBM z15 uses eDRAM for the L1 caches even.
