Imagine there is a cause, mission, or vision that you care deeply about. And you want larger numbers of people to care about it, too. And you're willing to pay someone to help you distribute the message that will persuade those people

"maintenance burden" is introduced when a non-original programmer starts contributing to a repo, regardless of how objectively maintainable the code is.

I hope someday that people will understand that you can use AI to build "boring" non-AI apps.

I mean, I'm pretty upfront on my personal site that I've built successful companies in the past. Not sure why I would lie about this one, especially when I'm admitting that I'm not doing the work :) See comment above for

Those are just my silly personal projects, not businesses. The business I mentioned above is in the recruiting agency space, B2B SaaS. The app itself is not the thing being purchased per se, the point was it was built using LLMs. $10K MRR i

Sonnet-3.5 seemed to churn out the best code, so I would default to that. If it got stuck in circular reasoning, 4o would usually resolve it. Then back to Sonnet.

I'm surprised at the description that it's "useless" as a programming / design partner. Even if it doesn't make "elegant" code (whatever that means), it's the difference between an app existing a

Define "significant," and do you have a source? I'd bet if you ask people "do you care about privacy?" Close to 100% would say yes. If you ask "you have to give up privacy to be able to log in to your email au

This mindset is how we got those awful cookie banners. Even more dialogs that most users will blindly tap "Allow" to will not fix the problem. Society has collectively decided (spiritually) that it is ok signing over data access r

Isn't this just the culture of "true" AI researchers? Until very recently (2019?) it was almost exclusively an academic pursuit

Slippery slope. I posit that there are news items that deserve real cause for concern, but because we're so overwhelmed with information, we throw it into the same "gossip" bucket with the rest of the slop.

The difference these days seems to be that the frequency of the hysterical events has gone up. One every other month, rather than every other year. What happens to a society that has been desensitized to mass-hysteria, where no single event

You have it flipped. But it's both. AI compute is measured in gigawatts, not gigaflops. It's "how any gigawatts of compute can we get allocated?" Not "How much compute can we fit inside of a gigawatt?" There&#x

Have you ridden in a waymo? I've found it to be about 95% as good as FSD, and FSD goes anywhere. I've been very puzzled at people treating FSD as non-existent when it's very reliably good.

What I love about developing with cursor et al is it forces devs to keep the app simple. No custom UI bloat when shadcn will do; no feature creep when the outline is fulfilled. Simple apps < 30,000 LOC means cursor can keep the code base
