It would be only conjecture, but maybe by having light shed on his actual identity, he felt his hand had been forced? Thus leading him into exile?

Not sure how I missed that. It's a kick-ass little feature in my book, because while I appreciate the "implied HTML tags", I do find them easy to miss.

It really fits into place if you're coming from one of those libraries. I only wish I could enable percent-sign indicators for HTML tags! (%h1 vs h1)

I'm really excited to watch this come to further fruition. Alex gave a great quick demo at the last NY Ember.js meetup and I was really impressed. I'm a big fan of Handlebars but really appreciate the cleaner syntax.

Seems like a nice site, I like the idea (though I don't love "maid"... I prefer "cleaning person.") But, the e-mail signup doesn't seem to work perfectly. Put in e-mail address, get sent to a sign up page saying my e-mail was blank. Not a g

I was also amazingly surprised that he referred to them as the "Winklevii" at one point in the original interview. Seems very offputting that the former president of one of the most prominent US universities would refer to former students i

I was also very surprised by Mr. Summmers' response. I went to NYU where John Sexton (president of the University) would often be seen in jeans and a sweatshirt. That being said, it was not uncommon for students to be in suits and ties for

Maybe. But I also feel like if you go to Harvard and have the ability to get an appointment set up by a friend of the family, you would maybe "understand" where they're coming from a bit more. (I use understand in the idea of recognizing th

I'm not sure why this is being voted down... maybe because there isn't anything to back it up. But, I do think in a way it is a defacto ban. There will be some kids who seek out this book, but chances are those are not the kids that need to

I understand the downvotes -- after all that someone's parents pay for their rents shouldn't necessarily disqualify that person's viewpoint, right? But, after living here for almost a decade, after paying my way through NYU ($100k to go! Wh

I totally understand this mindset... I had it, too. And so I lived in Carroll Gardens and Cobble Hill and paid through the teeth for tiny, mouse infested holes. But, I think that the NYC-to-NJ barrier does tend to be just that, a mindset. B

"Shouldn't they be picking up their kid?" -- this statement, while probably spot on -- is anathema to raising children in NYC. The kids that go to these events? Are a-okay to walk home close to midnight. I would bet no parents show up at th
