I think its worth of note how most of the comments they get on techcrunch are people just coming in to say they love the service. A trend I've seen on dropbox that I can't say I've seen with too many other services in the past. I, for one,

I have to agree with you that those that are interested in what the world values are the most blessed, but no practice 100% enjoyable. Risking misquoting him, I remember reading in one of Kasparov's books "I only love 80% of chess. I do the

There's plenty of people that enjoy doing things but don't do it very well. Enjoying something helps you stick to it more, but it doesnt' make you better at it alone.

And his point is, without any tool, people can still do most anything. But if the tool is particularly good, they'll do that same thing better now. People were still doing backups before dropbox. I, for one, am just doing them better now.

Everytime I see a 'generalist' vs 'specialist' post like this, I think its wrong to compare generalists who are very good in a lot of different areas to specialists that are very good in just one of them. Ideally, you'd have to compare gene

I'm highly inspired by Josh Waitzkin, who inspired the book and movie "in search for Bobby Fischer" and then went to win 21 national championships and 2 world championships in Tai Chi Push Hands, a competitive kind of tai chi. He explores h

Thanks for the explanation. The effects of the fructose enumerated on the article, tho, are the same. I did read about the difference in proportions being the biggest propel fact too, it was mentioning a cup of tomato had about 3g of fructo

Right, but I dont mean junk juices. I mean natural fruit juices, the one just out of the fruit. They are supposedly full of fructose and no fibers, right? So are they just as bad, on a fructose point of view (as in supposedly has the bad si

Also, in the case of the juice, if it doesn't have the fibers that the fruit has, is it just as bad as soda then (assuming same fructose proportions, of course)?

Just to be clear, I was already a qwerty touch typist before, so I just moved for the layout efficiency. I don't dislike the r and l placement on the right hand. I do sometimes feel p should belong on the right hand tho.

I've recently moved from qwerty to dvorak for similar reasons. Even though it's not yet been 2 months of dvorak training, I score around the 60wpm in typeracer. One of the reasons I decided to try it was the same 8hrs a day excuse. I now ha
