That ship sailed almost 100 years ago. If you really don't like it you should be campaigning for secession. Remember: federal power is delegated from the states, not the other way around.

I actually don't think AI is nearly as much an issue as office admins taking over and making professional collaboration somewhere between intractable and impossible. Have better tools made software engineers irrelevant before? Lol no.

I have a "stuff" git repo where each machine has a branch. Anything I create that should persist more than a day or two but doesn't have another home gets committed to that and pushed to a VPS. I've been experimenting wi

My understanding is that people 75% of a standard deviation bellow average tend to struggle with basic thought experiments. Yeah when you get into the upper tail it starts to get hard to find things to differentiate people.

It looks to me like they close nearly 30 PRs every day. That's kind of amazing. I'm no fan of Microsoft but that's a massive maintenance burden. They must have multiple people working on this full time.

Just because we don't want to use your crap and tolerate your condescension doesn't mean we're stubborn. It may very well be that you're asocial/antisocial and your software is low quality.

In their defense it is a pretty nice CRM. But yeah this could probably be maintained by like five people.

This is just two people misunderstanding and talking past eachother. The blogger wants to outsource living his life to other people, the commenter is getting hung up on pedantry too much to communicate what he actually wants to.

If you pirate a movie, watch it, and talk about it but don't distribute it then yes that's fair use. People literally do this all the time.

If you give up on E2EE (which isn't useful on smartphones anyway since the users have so little control over the OS and app distribution) email works, nearly everyone has that. If you use eg jmp.chat you can use email, other people can

Ah I see what you're saying, although now that I think about it that actually is a very good argument for Apple not reviewing apps at all. By trying to moderate all of the iOS software Apple takes responsibility for it and becomes liab

Apple's complaint will likely be that it's a "technical limitation" because they run the only iOS notification gateway. Never mind that Mozilla manages to run one for Firefox completely free to users and devs despite bei
