I'm not a fan of WebAssembly. I like js because you can instantly reload and test changes to your code without lengthy build or compile times and I'm hoping for typescript to become standard so that the same applies for typescript

It would be amazing if typescript could become the browser standard. I'm currently suffering from performance and readability issues from writing and filling typed structs in javascript with non-word alignment. e.g. I've got data

Been a while since I've played Civ6 but I didn't like some of the weird game mechanics. For example, some of the city boosts required you to permanently sacrifice tiles, which made the boosts a lot less interesting. Graphics were

When I was living in suburbs for a few months, getting from A to B on a bike took a long time. 40 minutes to work. 30 minutes to the next mall/shopping street. Just one small house after another, with no amenities nearby. Vast low-dens

The chrome dev tools are right in there in vscode so you can take a look at what's executed. It's also hardly reverse engineering if the code is all there to look at, and even debuggable and modifyable at runtime. I fail to see an

That restrictive license refers to the build, at best. The vscode source is under MIT at github, there is no need to reverse engineer the build and the license of the build won't affect the license of the source code.

I'm not getting it, what part is not free? All the code is at https://github.com/Microsoft/vscode under the MIT license and you can download a prebuild version, which is also free to use.

The buffer contains not just integer but also byte, unsigned byte, short, etc. Due to this, the buffer length may not be a multiple of 4, and Uint32Array views can only be constructed on buffers with a length of a multiple of 4. Edit: Also,

Do you know about best practices to benchmark with uncached data? It's something I've been wondering about for a long time and I've seen many attempts at benchmarking things without regard for disk caching. e.g. benchmarking

I don't really have any explanatory sources at hand, just the source code here: https://github.com/potree/PotreeServer/blob/redo/src/Regions... Points of interest: Schedule files to be loaded.

Unlike Python, javascript did a lot to fix its issues in recent years. Python still can't get scoping right.

Bad wording on my side, probably. I meant comfortable not necessarely regarding the ride but, for example - Getting it ready for the ride. - Taking it inside your appartment/home/office, if necessary. No need to leave it outside.
