This will depend on the country as well, but most have pretty long probation periods. For Germany for example, it's quite common for office jobs to have 6 months during which point you can "fire" employees with 2 week notice.

Change it to what though? On the one hand, I think Schufa is collecting a lot of unnecessary data that they should'nt have access to. For example, when I bought a pre-paid SIM card in Germany the provider did a Schufa check. No idea wh

There are 3 other companies in Germany that offer the same service. Schufa is the most well-known one but far from a monopoly. That said, I agree with you. It needs to go.

More clicks. Tesla is an American company and has an actual ongoing strike. Spotify is Swedish and there is currently no ongoing strike. If you look for articles in Swedish, you'll see plenty.

In Germany, and maybe other countries as well, the tomato cans have a 3 digit number printed on the bottom of the can. 220 for example. That's the canning date. The good ones, read Italian ones, usually also include a 2 letter code, li

You can observe this effect today in Spain already. The region around Almeria is covered by greenhouses that use white plastic sheets to protect their crops. The region has effectively cooled by 0.3 degrees whereas other areas have increase

I think white shingles for the roof would probably be even more effective. IIRC, a lot homes in hotter climates have started using them. Adding bifacial solar panels is probably a fantastic combination as well.

Excellent decision. But with most things GDPR, enforcement is key. I doubt any other website will actually change their behavior because of this. There's a single website that I have encountered that publicly respects Do Not Track: Gei

Yes, not being small fines is the whole point. If this was a 5 Million Euro fine, TikTok wouldn't care at all and factor it into their cost of doing business. Large companies have repeatedly shown that they don't care about small
