Prices are absolutely changing and the used car market for EVs is ramping up. Family member was looking for an electric car, but found new ones still a bit too expensive. There have been discounts from manufacturers. They decided to go for

I've involved myself in local effort to achieve this. 2 main problems we always encounter. 1. This requires planning and change. Tearing up pathways and streets is expensive, takes planning on administrative side and execution on the p

Ideally, you get your own domain and point that at whatever provider you feel like. Should you ever be locked out by a provider you point the domain to another one. If you follow a semi regular back up schedule for email you could even impo

True, but what will the population pyramid look like then? There's no guarantee that it will stabilize and stay constant.

Yes. Germany is steering towards a massive cliff and nothing's changing. The mandatory retirement tax I pay goes straight to retirees today. That system only works though if you have a growing population. Every year the ratio of retire

If you can, I would always call the hotel and ask for price matching. 9/10 they say yes and sometimes I even received a free room upgrade because I paid with them directly and not a 3rd party.

Likely, but if the collapse happens in say 2030, the rest of my life and that of almost everyone else, however short or long that may be, is not going to be pleasent. Regardless, I would like to see humanity safely thrive. I don't want

It's mentions a potential collapse as early as 2025. More precisely 2025-2095. That is this century and it's accurate to say 2025 is imminent.

The current wouldn't reverse, it would stop or become a lot slower. So cold water would stay in the artic regions and warm water closer to the equator. I suppose you could compare this to one giant heat pump, circulating a heat source

An article from livescience.com that may be worth a read. TLDR: if slowdown occurs, temperatures could drop by 5C in Europe and North America. What a 5C drop actually looks like they don't say. https://www.livescience.com&#x

By that logic, they'd keep VW prices high. China's vehicle manufacturers have made impressive strides of the past few years, especially in the EV market. Considering the growing nationalist tendencies, they'd try to get there

Oh I was not questioning VW trying to charge as much as possible. I just believe the profit margins on those 2 versions are wildly different. Electric cars are more expensive to produce, for now at least, but that that price difference does

Too expensive is another issue. The e-up from VW is the cheapest one they sell. It's 30k, more than double than the combustion version. I simply cannot believe that the same car but with battery an e engine costs 16k more.

Maybe someone from framework or knowledge of this area can explain this, but I'm a bit baffled by the price difference between the prebuilt and DIY editions. LinusTechTips recently did a tour of one of the assembly stations in Taiwan.

There's no need to speculate on the EV market. Especially in most western countries. EVs are here and people want them. VW alone had a backlog of 300.000 cars in 2022. Companies care about making a profit and even the stoic Germans tha
