Looks cool and all, but what are the benefits of using this over say normal js? I guess if you want to use other libraries, you still need to include them somehow in the build step or can opal take care of that as well?

The only issue I have with that is there may be other engines which are not electric but could still provide the same benefits.

We also can produce energy without fossile fuels and burning coal. I am not saying we should not stop putting out carbon into the atmosphere. I am saying that the idea that we shouldn't travel as much etc will never fly (pun intended).

Why though? Let's imagine we could create an electric plane for example and produce the electricity it uses completely carbon free. Why would that be an issue? I think this is totally doable, if we desire.
