Title should be marked with [2015]. I was caught off-guard with the statement about RenderMan using REYES since it hasn’t used it for several years at this point. There are quite a few interesting publications to look through, need to bookm

At work we use CentOS, which only houses the ESR builds of FireFox as it fits Red Hat's intentions. I started here a few months ago, and found out that the studio was using Chrome as it's default browser. Turns out they had made t

Similar situation in the VFX industry. Post-employment NCAs would devastate this industry and ruin the lives of thousands of individuals with how this industry works. And add more spots on the map of which studios to completely avoid.

Asymmetric plans are really disappointing. Back at my family’s residence we have Verizon Fios which only offers [near] symmetric plans (200/200, 400/400c 940/880) which is fantastic. They’re looking to upgrade from our legacy

I had a derp-out moment yesterday, I totally misinterpreted “as root in the container”. The topic was about rootless containers, so I was completely mentally blacklisting the idea of starting a container from the root user account.

As noted in other comments, GL.com does have some performance problems. A self-hosted instance is a completely different story, thankfully. All of the on-prem or cloud hosted instances I’ve gotten to use were quite snappy.
