My Dad lives in a small Australian country town, catches something like 50-70 cats in cat traps in his house and back yard each year and offloads them to the local pound. I can’t understand how cat owners are allowed to let their animals ru

The free market hasn’t been paying for the healthcare costs so far, so I don’t see why it should get to decide what is safe or not safe to use.

I’m absolutely not a car guy, and Mazdas are my perfect car :D We’ve got a 2008 mazda3 that is still running perfectly that we’re hoping to replace with a slightly larger CX-30 or PHEV equivalent once they sort out that product line. They r

Yeah I was also disappointed to hear that. Afaik (I asked someone who previously worked in an adjacent field), it sounds like there’s no central system for publishing the judgements, it’s all published by each individual courthouse in a way

We’ve switched from aiming to get a Tesla to just a Mazda PHEV instead, mainly because my wife doesn’t want to bankroll anymore Elon behaviour. Wouldn’t surprise me if there’s a few conversations like that around the dinner table these days

Agreed, I remember growing up in country WA and we would have mutton as it was a cheaper option afaik, but it’s almost impossible to get these days - all lamb.

In Australia don’t we all know exactly how much tax we’re paying? We have a flat 10% GST with the amount shown on every receipt?

We were lucky to have some flexibility to spread the load. My wife and I both dropped down to 4 days a week, and my Mother-in-law looks after our son one day a week, so he has a Dad day, a Mum day, a Nana day, and 2 daycare days. To us it f

Sexual assault is a serious allegation. In most media channels if an employee is accused of sexual assault they would be stood down and an investigation launched. He’s lucky they’re still giving him a platform to use.

The advice from that video to put powdered detergent in the prewash has been a huge improvement to our dishwashing. We now put the powder in the prewash section, but keep using tablets for the main wash just because of inertia I suppose, bu
