Not saying that I support this, but it gives an interesting touch to the creation of Adam in the Bible. In Genesis 2,7 it says:"Then the Lord God formed a man from the dust of the ground and breathed into his nostrils the breath of li

Amongst other things I study Philosophy and find it fascinating. It can really open your mind to a variety of subjects, whether it is maths, physics, business or law. Doesn't matter. There is a whole area dedicated to technology [1]. I

The GDPR gets so much hate because it hits so many businesses where it hurts: data. GDPR "simply" gives you guidelines on how you can handle data from people within the EU. And that that data cannot be handled so liberally as it h

I am a remote executive recruiting contractor. Applied through a job listing. They liked me. They hired me. Now I look for senior and executive people online, remotely.

I have almost no knowledge of patent law, but calling this a troll case seems a bit naive. If it comes down to market confusion, than probably this won't stick, because as mrw34 said - nobody buys a truck for it's look, or at leas

I would agree in regards to SEC filings, but I'm not sure this comes from an SEC filing? Also, do you have to state median pay in such a filing?

Totally possible. I am not acquainted with the regulatory statutes regarding who you may or can count as FTE in such a statistic. But sure sounds like a feasible strategy to prop up median pay.

Just a quick reminder what median means in this case: You have a finite set of wages/pay - and $197,000 should be in the middle of this set. Meaning that half the wages at Alphabet are below, the other half above this wage. It is a rat

That is true. Thank you for adding this very relevant viewpoint! Walter Benjamin also saw this not as something negative, but rather something neutral, even positive.

No, you see - with an actor in a commercial, the other party clearly knows the affiliation with the company and the statements made are advertisement. Of course if they lie, and not just exaggerate, the company can be sued for other reasons

If it can be proven that LendEDU or any other student loan company profited from their statements, this is a picture case of wire fraud. 18 U.S.C. §1343 [1] for reference, states that "whoever devised or intended to devise any scheme o

My legal two cents: 1.) What 18 U.S.C. §2701 et seq. actually now says is that if you are a service provider in the US, you must have a backup of any record of your customers in the US. So if you use a cloud service that is situated outside
