If it actually provides down cost in healthcare insurance that makes it cheaper, then I think many people wouldn't mind it. Otherwise, I don't see how middle class will not revolt and leave the state. So glad I'm not a califo

I am a bad engineer too. But I do Leetcode because it gives me money. Sure I could instead spend time to be a better engineer but why? That doesn’t pay. Leetcode pays. I have to optimize there.

But heap gives you O(1) max/min and Binary tree gives you O(log(n)) of max/min. Am I wrong?

After practicing bunch of Leetcode questions (around 300), and looking at videos from hiring managers that claimed to work at FAANG, or even the example interview at FAANG itself. I am actually more confused, whether Leetcode is the thing t

I answered, in Japan there are plenty of single women doing career and they do just fine. Is that not the answer you’re looking for? Do you seem to know what’s best for our country?

Because married women takes care of kids? I genuinely don’t understand this question… I guess this just serves an example how western mindset and our mindset in Asian countries are just different. Even the questions seem weird to us.

If you are just visiting, you won’t see much similaries. Japanese also consider non Japanese (or more precisely, non Asian looking), to have different norms than us so we treat them differently. Its an internal barrier that homogeneous soci

You can’t please everyone. That’s the whole point of diversity vs harmony. Besides, Japan doesn’t go around killing opeople who don’t adhere to their society. Please think about this hard as lonng, philosophically. To answer your question.

Fair enough. I agree with that. The westerners like to idolize Japan compared to China. I do think sometimes it is unfair. On the other hand. I think Japan is trying to have a good balance between western style democracy with harmony, hence

Most of the things you mentioned here is why I like Japan more han the Western world. To be fair, Japan isn’t perfect. But a lot of things make sense for us. Are you a westerner? It seems that your way of thinking is just different than our

That's strange, because what I've seen all the time is companies don't prefer remote. Both big ones and startups. I thought I am the minority to want forever remote.

Interestingly Ruby was my first programming language but it was JS who made programming clicked for me. I think it is the curly braces. It helped my mind compartmentalize stuffs.

Yeah I’ve seen really bad functional closures over the course of my career as well. But this just shows more of the developers’ skill than the language. Btw it sounds like you might like Deno. Have you given it a try?

I really don't understand why people hate JS so much. I myself a primarily a JS dev, and now a TS dev. TS made the experience so much so much better. JS is like pretty much a programming language for average software engineer like me.
